Fraunhofer Italia has contributed to the CRAFTech project in developing the DigiCheck system and in accompanying businesses in their initial identification of areas for the application of digital technologies, process analysis and action plans for concrete implementation.
The DigiCheck system assesses the potential for the use of new technologies in small manufacturing companies. It is an online questionnaire which enables companies to systematically review their level of digitalization and view study cases of digitalization and automation projects.
Once it has completed the DigiCheck questionnaire, a company can apply for the free CRAFTech applied research service run by lvh/apa in collaboration with Fraunhofer Italia. A total of 18 companies have availed themselves of this service.
